re currency after marsupialization?

Hi,

anybody has had a recurrence of the cyst after marsupialixation? How long after?

    Unfortunately yes! After about a year of the first marsupilisation! sad nothing has worked for me.

      Can they repeat the marsupialization or would they just do the gland excision?

      I've had these cysts and abscesses since I was about 15/16 and I'm now 24. I've had 2 marsupilisations and had it lanced and drained with packing and catheters that much I've lost count! I've asked my gynae to remove the gland but he refused because of my age. Apparently the excision is quite difficult because of the area and how small the gland is and can cause more harm than good as the gland on the opposite side tends to swell instead. I've had another flare up over the past fortnight but am managing to keep it down with antibiotics and serappeptase (if you haven't tried these then get some, they've really helped me!) I'm going to book an appt with a local homeopathic doctor too to try and find an alternative to constantly going under the knife!
