Really anxious right now, what should I do?

I'm really anxious right now whether it's my GERD or food possibly stuck in my throat, I could eat, drink and talk and I feel the sensation on the right side of my throat sometimes, I did go to the ER before, but they never did no x-ray test to confirm, they said my oxygen level is fine, just a racing heart since I was panicking. They told me normally if food is stuck in the throat, the person is unable to swallow and talk at all. They just told me to see my ENT for treatment or talk to them on what's going on, I did get swollen lymph nodes that I saw my ENT doctor for and he used a tongue blade to check my throat and saw a throat infection, but he didn't scope my throat, even when I told him about the sensation of food feeling stuck. But could he have noticed if food was there as well while looking at the back of my throat with a tongue blade if something was really stuck? I'm so anxious and can't stop thinking negative because of my health anxiety. Will I be okay?

If he used a tongue blade he would’ve definitely seen any food in your throat. But it’s really not possible for food to just sit there without causing difficulty breathing, swallowing, even talking, etc.

if you need to calm down look up joanne soft whispers video on YouTube. She is excellent and has the most soothing voice and way of talking that it would calm anybody down. she has several excellent videos. keep in mind that you are over thinking all of this. Do you have anybody to talk to? I think it would really benefit you to speak with a counselor. That would really help a lot. Take care

Thank you Jan for the detail responses on my concerns. I'll definitely look into the video whenever I feel anxious. I'm seeing a therapist for some help on how to cope with my anxiety disorder, she's still learning about me as I just saw her a few days ago, really hoping I can get over anxiety one day, but I know it will take very small steps to see some process. Appreciate you reassuring me that I'll be okay.

yep. It’s the baby steps that get you to where you need to be. Try not to look at the whole big picture because that produces anxiety. Take only one day at a time and congratulate yourself when you take another baby step. be good to yourself and Work with your counselor while you are doing this. remind yourself frequently that negative thoughts are not based on reality. They are just thoughts and you can let them go.
