Really bad cervical mri

I have had a bad neck for years, I have a compressive fracture from play softball when I was 34 yo. I had a really rough childhood and early young women a lot of physical abuse so my neck is a real mess. I am now 69 and I in a bath tub backward and hit my neck on a sharp ledge. 

Now for my problem I am in a lot of pain so I went to see a orthopedic doctor,he sent me for x ray and mri. I am seeing a neurosurgeon on Thursday. I picked up the mri today and took a look I can kinda read one and my husband is well versed in read X-ray. My neck looks really bad looks like I have at least one collapsed maybe two  my neck is pretty bad also,and a lot more. I have done the shots, physical therapy plus chiropractor. Now I am really scared. Is there anybody that has had looks a rather involved cervcal surgery.
