really bad day

Hi I've been on Sertraline for around a month now first week or so was hard, but ever since I have been feeling so much better but today I have had an awful day and everything is building up like I'm about to snap, neve felt so depressed before don't know what to do.

    That's how they work, at 4 weeks I was doing great and then I had 5 bad days and now I'm having an okay time. I'm just on 2 months. If you can handle all of the emotions, they say 8-12 weeks it should be great. Hang in there.

    Sorry your having a problem bad time.

    Generally any anti depressant takes about 6-8 weeks to build up in your system to become effective.

    One thing to remember though, even on anti depressants, you will have good and bad days. It's natural for us to have good and bad feelings. The anti depressants just stop us feeling awful day in day out.

    I've just come off a 2+year of taking 50mg week.

    Ive had a week of good and bad days. I feel less patient with people that pee me off - so that's most people haha, but am holding my tongue.

    I hope you can find solace in your bad days. Don't forget. We all have good and bad days even if we are on meds or not.

    I'm on week 6 and it does get better. I had a really strange day where I felt completely out of it, like I was on drugs, then it settled and I was fine for a week but I've just had 3/4 days where I'm soooo docile. I'm sticking with it. Xxx
