Really struggling to walk after having a bad reaction to steroid injection in my hip.

i had a steroid injection about 14weeks ago,everything was great for 4 weeks and then the pain in my stomach started I was diagnosed with steroid gastritis and have been off work ever since,it has got so bad now that I can’t walk without sticks and having to have help upstairs,the pain in my stomach has eased off but my mobility is awful I feel like my life is over.any help gratefully received

    Get a 2nd opinion. Steroid reaction after 4 weeks doesn't sound right. Steroid gastritis is usually caused by INGESTED steroids (pills) not injections. The fact that your mobility is so affected indicates a problem. Possibilities: infection, steroid damage or the fact the joint is so bad it isn't responding to the steroid. Don't suffer silently. Get to a doctor
