Really uncomfortable lower abdominal and back pain-feels like inflammation

I have had really uncomfortable pain today. I don't think I have eaten anything different but didn't have my usual diarrhea today. I am having another colonoscopy on Tuesday so should know more. Could this be colitis? I had ulcers in my colon years ago....there is no visible blood in stools but does anyone else have this abdominal and back discomfort ? A friend told me to take a supplant called Cura Med-it is supposed to be good for inflammation-just wondering if anyone has tried that or Librax or Bentyl?

Trust me Corrie, if you had colitis you'd know about it. In fact, not only will you know about it, everyone in the building you live would know about it. Because people with colitis produce stools with really really really foul order. I don't think you should take any suppliments until you talk to your doctor personally. Unless the pain is that bad, then maybe you should take an advil or something like that, just until you can get to your doctor.

This is how I felt when I had colitis and I do have stools that smell foul and are urgent..... Just not sure because my lower stomach and back haven't hurt like this in years now.

I have pain under my left ribs and leer abdominal and back pain which isn't like cramps but like pain of inflammation-I have constantly loose stools although had no bowel movement for 3 straight days.
I also have gastritis and some mornings slight nausea

Also, 'my gastro doctor is doing a colonoscopy on Tuesday -he thinks this is no big deal and says "you have been having these flare ups of pelvic pain, pain in left ribs and diarrhea for years now-last colonoscopy four years ago showed no problems so I don't think this one will either"----- in 2011 I lost 20 pounds in eight months-I also had gastritis but it was hell... I am not a typically anxious person but these digestive issues do make me anxious....I was a psychotherapist in private practice for almost 20 years and specialized in anxiety-so I always feel shamed by him -I am seeing a therapist and he called my doctor and explained some things to him
Just venting -thanks for listening--I actually hope my doctor is right about it being anxiety based -
