3 weeks on 10mg citalopram and Im getting like a pain that comes and goes under what feels like left breast bone/rib cage when i breath in deeply. Is this normal? Is it a side effect of the medication? This is doing nothing for my health anxiety 😦

hi Lauren, i would get that sometimes. It could be tension or a side effect. Check with your GP to be sure x

Hi Lauren,I am on 30mg of Celexa.I havent had the sude effect your having with the pain. I know when I feel angziety I have a hard time breathing and my doctor said it was from being anxious. He did exrays to rule out anything going on in my chest.I would call your doctor and let him know you are having some discomfort. Also sometimes the Pharmacist will know more about side effects than our doctor....I know the frustration of having angziety and possible side effects from the medicine we take to help with the angziety......Bless you,I hope you can get this sirted out.

Im not a doctor but I do get these at times. It hurts like heck when I breathe deep. It sounds like a gas bubble. Like a pluergy (?) If it continues, please call your doctor's office to speak to a nurse about it. I do not think it is something to worry about. But do call your doctor office tomorrow or when you feel concern about it. The phychristrist (?) may not be right person to ask.
