reassurance today please

Hi all...after having a really good day yesterday...and the day I also saw my gp and told him I was feeling good I made the mistake of seeing a friend and there first comment was on how mu h weight I had lost and how bad my neck looked....this seems to have triggered me and my anxiety is back with a vengeance and I am now worrying g and focused on my health....help please

    Wow, with friends like that, who needs enemies?

    I would suggest that you avoid people who tend to focus on the negatives during recovery, thats just not helpful.

    Remember, you had a good day yesterday. That means you are going to have more good days.

    You will put the weight back on as you recover, dont worry.

    Try to put that person's opinion behind you, it doesnt mean anything about you.

      thank you ruth for your reply....yes I agree I'm really p****d off with him...and will definitely avoid him as much as possible

    Ruth is right, wha type of friend would say somthing like this..

    you will recover and put the weight back on

    please stay strong.. Dont allow people who are not trying to bring you up, entertain much of your time.

    spend time with poeple who love you for who you are.. you are probably extremley sensitive so its best to just avoid people who make you feel down!

    you are revovering and you derserve the best..

    this is only a minor set back, you will get there.. just keep moving forward 😃
