I have seen my a Doctor who prescribed me regaine, but this didn't work. The rest of my head is ok .i wondered if it maybe the drops I'm on for my glaucoma but I have yo wait to have laser treatment for my eyes befor I can stop the drops. I just don't know what yo do next!

Have you googled to see if the side effects of the medication can cause hair loss?

I would say it's a possibility. Did you go to a dermatologist? I'm assuming they think it's female pattern balding since they prescribed Rogaine.

You could have other problems that may lead to hair loss. Have you checked your thyroid (hypothyroidism) and ovaries (PCOS)? These are just two possibilities of many!

From my own experience, I can tell you that for the problem to go away you must treat the cause and for the problem not to escalate you should treat the symptoms.

So even though you don't know yet what's the root problem, you could use some supplements if they do not mess with your current therapy or other health conditions.

I got the best results from:

    Silica

    keratine

    collagen

    and the more commonly known:

    vitamin B complex

    vitamin C

    zinc...

Are you taking any other medication that may cause this?

Sometimes what you eat and don't eat may contribute. I had to start eating some meat to up my protein intake and it improved my hair and nails. Everybody is different, but something should work!

    Hang in there!

Hello Louise, just looking at the description of your symptoms reminds me of myself two years ago when.I had the exact same symptoms as yours, I eventually saw a dermatologist after seeing different GP's at my health center and getting no where and was diagnosed with a condition called frontal fibrosing alopecia which does only affect the front hairline and round the ears, of course you may not have this at all but its a possibility and the sooner you see a dermatologist the better I would say to start you on some medication if it is.
