Recent GYN visit

I saw my GYN yesterday. I told her that the urologist told me the vagina looked terrible. After examination, she disagreed. She said it actually looks better than it did on a previous visit. She recommended Clobetasol Prop 0.5% ointment for the vulva and Intrarosa, a steroid insert that should be inserted vaginally at bedtime. She thinks it will help. She gave me a one time dose of a vaginal antibiotic that I inserted last night. To be honest, I think it did more harm than good. I have a lot of soreness today. I have to pick up the prescriptions tomorrow. I am hoping they will help. Has anyone tried the Intrarosa and/or Clobetasol? I have to see her again in early Oct. to follow up.

Sorry .. Tinodine cream and I think it is the same as clobetasol. Just read up on it. Not to be used for long term. There is no cure just help 🙁

Maryann, you must be greatly relieved. I can't believe your urologist would be so unprofessional & insensitive to make such a negative comment. That's a person who should not have contact with patients of any kind.
I've never heard of a one time antibiotic to insert. Did you test positive for infection or is your doc being proactive?
I haven't used either of those meds, but I don't have any bleeding. I use an estradiol hormone cream (now with yeast cream to combat itch) for AV. I'm back to nightly use of the hormone cream in an attempt to keep the estrogen consistent.
I recently stopped using a milder steroid nightly (for LS) as I had a reaction to it , but I think that was due to broken skin. Doc suggested I try again twice a week. However, I just received my bottle of restore natural oil today. I will try that instead of the steroid and see how I react to that. It is VERY strong smelling. Will post how that works out. If nothing else I can use it as perfume!
Hope your new protocol works for you.

My Dr. said the culture showed bacteria but not a full fledged infection. She thought the one night antibiotic cream may help. I feel the same as I did before using it.
Please let me know if the Restore oil works for you. I hope you get the relief you need.
