Recently diagnosed FS but have chest pain

Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with FS and am going to have a steroid injection on Thursday. However, I also have chest pain (just under my clavicle) I mentioned this to my Consultant but he did'nt seem particularly interested and I am just wondering whether anyone else has had this? I am assuming that is it all part of the same thing but am a little concerned as the pain is extremely sharp. I suppose I am just asking for peace of mind as it would make sense the two are related, just a little disconcerted that he didn't seem to pay any attention to it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks smile

My situation is a little different then most cases, but similar to yours. My shoulder area, & chest area on the left side is frozen in the sense that ... there's no feeling. You can stick a pin in it, & nit feel it, as if it had been frozen. Plus the thing that worries me most, is .... I have severe sharp pain in my chest. Feels like the heart muscle. Just wondering if this was something like what you were experiencing??? Did u ever resolve yours, & what was the outcome?

Are there any other cases out there like mine?

I obviously haven't seen a Dr about this yet, although this feeling, or no feeling in the shoulder area has happened to me before.

I know this in an old thread, but I too have this sharp clavicle pain in addition to my frozen shoulder. (I believe my FS is related to estrogen changes during menopause, which caused tendonitis - which untreated turned into FS.)

I have not had this clavicle pain for the whole duration..it has only been in the last few weeks (I am five months into this nightmare.)

In the beginning it was classic FS with pretty bad pain at all times (nagging ache 24/7, and sharp pain on certain movement of the arm) followed by noticeable stiffness and loss of range of motion with similar bad pain. However, at five months in, and after going on high dose HRT my shoulder pain has definitely lessened - especially at night (I can sleep!!) and I have slightly better range of movement. But - I now have this deep pain under the clavicle, which I think is the capsule loosening, and affecting the joint/muscle differently. it is not there all the time, it comes on randomly - and I notice it more when I breathe deeply, it feels like a 'stitch' which you get when running, only higher up.

I am 4 months in. Thank God for Zopiclone which allows me to sleep for 6-7hrs without hurting myself. And

Vimovo (naproxen with stomach protector) as an anti inflammatory. And Lyrica for nerve pain. This helps those shooting pains that go under the collar bone and up neck etc. I am seriously thinking hydro dilation might be my next move. I don't have months to wait. I have a desk job and am going back next week. Still can't type or hold objects for long without angering the shoulder so it should be interesting. What a frustrating condition. I chuckle when I see people talking about not being able to shave, tie hair up, curl hair etc. it's not just me! . Up here in Canada at -40 just a slip on the ice can be excruciating. Even when you don't fall you automatically throw your arms up. YOUCH! I wish you all the best. It is sure nice having people that understand. It would be easier if a person could have a cast lol. As it is no one knows you are in pain unless you move the wrong way and scream. FS is such a silent ailment.

Hi Browner, just wondering where do you get the hydrodylation, since Im in Vancouver B.C. an seems like doctors here are not very familiar with the options. My case is a really bad case, since I have it in my hip, yes, I have frozen hip, the diference I step on my pain every day. Im living a nightmare and I can't wake up from it. Any info would be really appreciated.

My Dr at the Musculoskeletal Clinic mentioned it in passing. I intend to speak to him more. There should be folks there who do it for sure. Sorry for your pain. That must be awful. Will let you know more when I do. Keep researching.

    Hi,

Just one question to the ones that already had a frozen shoulder in the past. How did you feel when your shoulder started thawing???Did you have any pain, did it feel numb, how exactly did it feel?
