Recently diagnosed with cirrhosis..HELP!!

I am 31 and have been a heavy drinker for about 10 years and was recently diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver about 4 months ago after a short stay in the hospital. i have since been referred to a liver specialist but have only had one appointment so far. During my stay in the hospital 4 months ago i also developed ascites. I have stopped drinking completely! The doctors pretty much told me I have this condition and sent me home... so Im kinda wondering where to go from here... I have a ton of questions I just have no idea where to even begin.. I have been looking at websites which is freaking me out just a little bit more than I was before I started reading. I feel a little like my health is declining in the past couple months since I found out.. Im not sure if it really is going down hill or if it all in my mind.I havent really talked to anyone close to me too much about it because they really don't know about the disease or how Im feeling.. plus it worries them. I'd really just like to have some understanding about what is happening to my body and maybe someone to talk to about it.

You need to quit drinking and at least drink less. Stopping drinking is the most important thing we can do, because if we look after our bodies it will look after us in older ages.
