I currently work in the *health feild * I've been with the company about a year and at two years I need to have another physical done. However, the physical consists of a part about whether I have a communicable disease. I've called around to med express and such and they have told me I must list it . I haven't even told my family! I really don't want to lie but I don't want the world to know my business. Does anyone have any input to this at all? Thanks in advance.

First and foremost are you HSV1 or HSV 2? The difference HSV1 is the same virus that causes cold sores on people's lips/face...I work in health care also....there is really no shame in HSV 1 and I got it on my butt cheek! That's right HSV 1 positive on my butt cheek! Which doesn't surprise me that I have HSV 1 bc both my mother and my father get cold sores my dad on his nose and my mother on her lip and her forehead....see you have ganglion nerve bundles one set behind the ear the other at the lower base of the spine....most of the time HSV 1 goes behind the ear but there are times it accidently goes to the base of spine...with that said! That's right means you can get a break out anywhere below the belt! I talked to my doc bc of course I freaked out and thiught oh my now I need to tell everyone and she said no...HSV 1 is not considered an STD....then she put it plain as day...do people walk around every day and tell you oh btw I get cold sores on my lip? Uhmmm no! Lol over 80 percent of the population has HSV 1...so if it is HSV 1 it's not a big deal at all....nor does either HSV 1 or 2 cause any major health concerns there's just a negative stigma that follows HSV 2 unfortunately 😕 Hope this helps you

We'll see I have HSV 1 below the belt also...while they both can accidently go to the wrong nerve bundle just bc it is below the belt doesn't mean it's 2 automatically....for 2 most people are out on anti viral medications for one you don't have to do anything like that that due to it being so common......that might help you in trying to figure out each one I can't believe they didn't confirm with you if it was one or two...

Yeah I did all kinds of research on both and asked when the results came and I was just told they didn't know.
But I think I'm just going to write it off and just not list it I'm confronted about it from the doctor. I only have had one outbreak and took medicine at that time. That was about 6 months or so ago.

That sounds like one...you can take meds for one if uncomfortable my Dr said if it was 2 I'd be on anti vitals ext to prevent break outs and spreading but since it wasn't that and I wasn't uncomfortable I didn't have to bother...normally with two you get repeated out breaks that can happen frequently...but with one you are lucky if you will ever have a reoccurrence bc since it likes the face (home) and accidently came out somewhere else it normally just stays dormite bc it didn't come out in its "home" place...
