Recently saw Vulva Specialist

I was able to see a vulva specialist last week due to a cancellation. After a lengthly discussion and examination, she thinks it may be lichen sclerosis. She took cultures to rule out infection. I have not received results yet. She also said that it could be vulvodynia but she doesn't think so. So confusing! She prescribed Clobetasol ointment to be used twice a day and advised that I continue to use the estrogen cream at bedtime. My next appointment is mid December.

I was feeling good for a week. Last night the burning started again - also some vulva soreness. The specialist also prescribed lidocaine if the symptoms are unbearable. She told me to mix it with coconut oil or Aquaphor to prevent burning. I must admit i had tomato sauce on pasta and veal a few times this week. I normally do not eat it that often - usually once a month. Does anyone think the tomato sauce could have triggered this? THANKS.

It definitely can be food related. Try taking benadryl to see if that helps also i would suggest getting an allergy test done. my allergist also suggested wearing loose fitting clothes and no underwear at night or whenever possible.
