Recipe on Patient website

Hi,

I've have type 2 diabetes and one of the recipes I've come across on the site is Paprika chicken and vegetable tray bake which has chicken thigh, butternut squash, tomato, carrot, onion and bell pepper ingredients. It has a sugar rating on the traffic light system of 12.4g/12%. Can anyone tell me where the high sugar content is coming from?

Thanks in advance Ian97533

Probably the carrots, and to a lesser degree the tomato. Keep in mind that all carbohydrates are just as much of a concern for diabetes as sugar. Sugar is just one form of carbohydrates.
