Recommendations for a Probiotic and changing PH prior to Nuvessa

Hi - I am getting ready to try a Nuvessa (1 day version of metronidazole) and want to do everything to ensure it works. I thought maybe taking a good women's probiotic and vitamin D a few weeks in advance and after might help "set the stage". My doctor recommended Florigen.Has anyone tried this brand? I used AZO and thought it worked but she never heard of it and wants me to try this brand. My feeling is that this dam infection is caused by a PH that supports the growth of this nasty bacteria. Mine started 3 years ago after taking heavy duty antibiotics a few years ago. Resetting the environment is the really hard part.
