Having got the hot flushes/night sweats settled a bit, the aching joints, I'm getting used to and the near constant headache now my face has started to itch like mad!

Can anyone recommend a good moisturising cream please? Been using a nivea one but prepared to pay more if it settles my skinn dow, Thanks x

The Body Shop's aloe vera is absolutely excellent.  It is all I can use.

    Hi,

It is interesting that it is your face that has started to itch, apparently itchy skin is on the list of peri symptoms due to drop in oestrogen levels apparently(as I am sure you know).  I confess I have not tried Matron's suggestion of number 7.

I have tried Avene's soothing cream for stressed skin(anti redness?), also tried Roche skin cream too, both are very good brands.

A a different theme neem oil can be very helpful too so I have heard.

Herbalists will mention taking milk thistle/dandelion/artichoke (bitter herbs) which help the liver.  I have tried bitter herbs and they are excellent, really help support the liver and digestion too.

I hope this helps you and you find some relief!

I used to itch all over particularly on a night in bed. Since taking Milk Thistle I've not had the problem at all. Funnily enough I was taking it just for health reasons and didn't know it was useful for itching as well.

Must admit I use a men's one Nivea Men Sensetive as a lot brings me out in a rash and/or causes me to itch
