Recommendations on post-surgical-repair Achilles brace?

Hi,

I am currently 5 weeks post-op and in a walking boot. I have been told that after leaving the boot, it is advisable to wear a soft brace (for some time) in an athletic shoe...especially if one if going to be walking on uneven ground and/or in crowds. I have tried searching for brace recommendations, but everything I find is a brace for treatment of tendinitis which promotes dorsiflexion, while what I want is a brace to inhibit unwanted/excessive dorsiflexion.

Can anyone suggest a good brand/model of brace for use in the first weeks after transitioning out of the boot? Many thanks!!!

    ask about rocker shoes once your balanced has improved. rocker shoes helped me improve my walking gate , less pain 6 weeks .
