hi there. i had this op 5 weeks ago and had a discharge for the first couple of weeks. i used tena pads as it wasnt that much. i was worried about infection etc but i think its just the wound healing. as long as there isnt a v strong smell and your feeling well..... with no sickness or temp. i was told that was what to look out for.....hope this helps.

this is normal. it's the residue from surgery and stitches.

I had and its normal.. after a few weeks it goes away.

I had anterior and hysterectomy and had ut on both. I showered 3 times a day but it just went away on its own.

i am 4 weeks post pelvic floor repair op now and still suffer with some degree of pain and my stomach is also still quite swollen .

I have really taken things very easy apart from doing the normal "life "duties that even they seem to make me feel i have done too much.

I am a little concerned though because I had a holiday pre booked prior to my op which I took at 2 weeks post op and I'm now worried that THE FLIGHT (3 hours ) has set me back perhaps in my recovery .

I did a very stupid thing and took aspirin thinking it would assist to thin my blood out so i did not get DVT which seemed to be the major worries with flying . Anyway i took too much aspirin and thinned my blood too much which did result in me bleeding day after flight which stopped the next day but I am worried what damage thats done .

    ANY ADVICE ???

this is completely normal.it will go around 4 to 5 weeks. it's the stitches and residue from surgery.

I'm sure it okay but the reason they say no flying us the obvious reason of clots and DVT from GA.

I'm surprised yiur insurance allowed you to fly as your not covered for up to a certain time after op.. after my anterior I was osi free but still rested for 6 weeks plus.

if worried speak to your consultant
