Recovering from hammertoe surgery

Had my hammertoe surgery on January 6th 2017, still my toe is swollen,its now may 8th 2017..how long will it take for this swelling to go?

    Hi I don't know about hammer toes but I had bunion surgery (lesser op) end of February & an shocked at how swollen the area is! Especially as my surgeon gave the impression I would be back to normal within 5-6 weeks! Just think everyone heals at a different pace. And also it's a very hard place to heal as we are constantly using our feet!

      Hi mon00, I also was told 6 weeks, to be honest I don't know if the swelling will ever go..
