Hi, when I first got it I would get an attack every week and spend the next six days recovering only to get another attack but nowadays if I have a bad attack it takes me much less time.  Maybe just a day.  I think partly I need to recover from the medication which makes me very sleepy.  I have had attacks as much as every day which has been awful but one of the things I've noted is that this affliction mutates over time and no sooner do you think you have discerned a pattern then it changes.

Thanks for your reply. How do you recover do you do anything different? I rest in home and do not feel strong or stable for 12to14 days. After that I go about 2 or 3 months ok than it happens again?? Any suggestions

I take vitamin D tablets and Chelated Manganese and I think these both help.  I also take 25mg of Viagra every night which dilates your blood vessels which you need to disperse the fluids in your inner ear.

When I first got vertigo, I would have an attack that lasted 3-5 hours with nausea and dizziness then nothing for months. Now, I may have a flash of dizziness or 3 hours of dizziness and nausea - it runs the gamut. Since taking betahistine, I have had no dizziness, just intermittent feelings of being a little off. It has been only a little over 2 weeks but life changing - more energy and not living in constant fear of an attack.
