Recovery from anterior repair of cystocele, vagina Vault prolapse, enterocele

Hi - new here. I am two weeks out from my surgery. It was done with a spinal anesthesia done vaginally. Had my 2 week appointment with my GYN who also did my hysterectomy in 2000. I went in wondering if I had an infection. He checked me and said no everything was fine. That the bad soreness was from the episiotomy and the cramping I had was normal.
Has anyone else had this procedure done with a spinal anesthesia? Initially I had no bowel movement for 3 Days although before discharge from the hospital had normal urination (Cath removed) & was passing gas. Took daily Colace and Miralax & at 3 days did Fleets and finally had Bowel movement (haha lost 5 lbs on the scale). Since then have continued on Colace daily, Miralax etc. My main problem is what feels like menstrual cramps all the time (or also like cramps when you're having intestinal issues). I do have history of IBS & Fibromyalgia also lumbar facet issues L4 to S1. Frustrated with this pain. After days, also eating good diet with fruits veges etc just added Dulcolax suppository this morning and finally went!!! Anyone else have this issue??
Also so tired... which is also complicated by having adrenal Insufficiency for which I am on Prednisone for life. Any comments would be so helpful... As I sit here with a heating pad on my lower abdomen!!
Thank you ... Reading posts here has made me feel less alone! ??

Two weeks is very very early days, whilst I am not a doctor it sounds very normal. I am now nearly ten weeks post op for a vaginal hysterectomy, anterior and posterior repair and am only just feeling my bowels are any where near normal! I was taking Movecol for the first six weeks, as well as prunes and flaxseed.
The best advice I've had is to be patient! Very hard but after major surgery it's going to be a long road.
Good luck!

Thank you so much !! I finally had a day of kind of normal bowel movement. Unfortunately I am also having an increase in occipital nerve headache (have C spine nerve facet probs C2 to C5 & radiculopathy C2+C70) so since surgery besides Everything else wake up with occipital headaches every day. Excedrin migraine is my friend lol. A thought just came to me ... I did have spinal anesthesia with sedation (versed etc). Wondering if the increase in occiptak headaches is related to spinal anesthesia? Then also have facet issues L 4 to S1 with sciatica so seems since surgery all this has been stirred up. ..
I am getting better at listening to my body ... I do some light chores a little walking and when that cramping feeling returns etc, I go rest.

I also had a spinal block and sedation. I am a bit of a head achey person but have had quite a few head aches recently, it's very hot here, for the UK! I don't have any of the diagnoses of specific headaches like you so it's hard to say whether it's related.
I have to say at two weeks I was doing very little, certainly no light chores. 😳 although I was walking.
You're telling yourself to rest so do listen to that sound advice. You've been through a hysterectomy so you do know it's a long long road to recovery.
