Recovery from wrist arthroscopic surgery?

Hi.

I have been recently scheduled for a wrist arthroscopic surgery in about 5 months time.

It is to be performed on my left wrist in which I have a small tear of the tfcc and an old ununited avulsion fracture of the ulnar styloid process (leaving a bony fragment).

In my appointment, the orthopaedic doctor said he would be performing arthroscopic debridement of the wrist and an excision of the ulnar styloid fragment. I was just wondering if anyone would have any idea what recovery would be like? Especially if a bone fragment is being removed. How long might it be before I can get to driving, working etc? Would I have to wear a cast after surgery?

Thank you.
