Recovery on. Citalopram

Hi. I have been on 20mg of citalopram for many years as a maintenance dose. 14 weeks ago I began with a bit of a breakdown. I increased to 25mg for 9 weeks no improvement. I then increased to 30mg 4.5 weeks ago. I have times of "normality" but quit a a few periods of anxiety. Morning anxiety has also eased a little. I do have good and bad mornings. My anxiety is particularly around checking on body sensations. Breathing is the big one. My body and jaw is very tense. During different hormonal stages my anxiety is bad. Like I say I have some morning anxiety it improves and I have some better times. Its the waves of panic and anxiety. I worry I will not be 100,% ever. Be great for advice on recovery.

Thanks

    Hi Collette,

I have been on 30mg for 4 weeks now so quite near to your timeline. I too am worrying that this will never get better and I have made a promise to myself that if and when I do get better I am going to come back on here and encourage others not to give up. Mornings are the worst for me and I can't really say that it gets that much better during the day. I just long for an hour when I don't feel so down or anxious. Keep going. xx
