Recovery stories

I would live to hear some recovery stories from people who have put this behind them. Especially ones about health anxiety or anxiety with lots of physical involvement. I think it would be nice to hear some hopeful things... anyone have something like that to share?

Generally I do not feel in my case I have recovered, although now I am in control and mostly able to get on with my Life.
Normally I try and keep busy I have many hobbies that I enjoy and I also gain support here for my Reactive Depression and its associated Anxiety and Stress. Over the years I have found in my case I had to learn how to control my fears and understand many problems we thin we have are all associated with our own irrational fears.
I am Chronically Disabled and I have learned the stress of this condition can make matters worse as I would be associating my disability with extreme rare side effects that stood out were part of an overractive imagination.
To be honest I have enough on my mind with my health problems, I need not to consider other problems not associated with the problems I have The problems arise when you find there is something wrong and your GP turns to you and asks is this your Anxiety, then wastes time while trying to work out if it is all in the mind or not.
I took many NHS Courses, many attached to Pain Clinic and the Professional Patient Course, it eventually hit me my imagination was harming me and that did stop all these negative frightening fears

Carrie I'm recovering from anxiety/panic for the second time. Last time was 10 years ago and really put it out of my mind. It just started again November 2017. I started meds, eating healthy, keeping a journal, and walking or riding my exercise bike everyday. I'm not 100% yet, but feel that I will make a full recovery. Everyone is different. No one can tell you how long it will take for you to recover. But if you see the slightest improvement from week to week (not day to day) stick with it! Anxiety can definitely be controlled!

I love the idea of this thread! One thing we should remember is that if this isn't a super long thread, it doesn't mean there's limited recovery - people probably just frequent the forum less once they stop experiencing the worst of their symptoms!
