Rectal discomfort please help at my wits end

Really hoping someone will read this and be able to help. For the past 18 months I've been experiencing discomfort in my back passage. When I first went to doctor I was told it was piles. I was given cream and sent on my way. The cream did nothing so I went back and was given fybogel and still no improvement. I had a colonoscopy late last year which showed nothing. One doctor even tried treating me for prostatitis again to no avail. I really am going out of my mind now.
So my symptoms are a constant ache and feeling of pressure in my back passage. I do get piles come down when I pass a motion but they always retract after. I get intermittent itching sometimes severe to the point of making myself bleed. I have had a dre as recent as last week to check my prostate and wasn't told I he felt any abnormalities.
I also have aching that seems to radiate into my legs and can make them very restless specially at night.
I really don't know what to do anymore, I suffer with health anxiety anyway which I'm sure exacerbates the problem but no pain killers or treatment is working.
I have all sort of things going round in my head and am worried silly and not getting any help or answers from doctors, just cream after cream nothing of which makes any difference. The thought of spending the rest of my life living with is just not an option

Have you been given suppositories to place in your rectum, all your symptoms are perfectly normal for piles and it can be extremely painful
If they didn't go to local chemist and buy some

Hi Alexandria, no I have not tried suppositories. I just don't understand why no medication is working and why it's been going on for so long. Although the doctor confirmed I have piles he didn't say they were really bad. Can it cause aching into the legs also?

A while ago I had my Colon examined, they found Piles, another time a Fissure. I was given the understanding these problems were sorted at the time of examination. Do you know if this was the case here, or did they just tell you to keep treating the problem ?
With me it is all to do with medications and my diet choices. If you feel you are still having problems a further test may be given, although I feel your GP feels your problems have cleared.
If you are suffering Anxiety and your GP is considering that diagnosis it may be He would prefer not to put you through another examination.
Talk again with your GP, explain your concerns once more, If He feels your problem is Anxiety He may feel the test would be a waste of time. However there are other tests although you need to consider are you wanting a further examination, if a test is invasive, you need to consider that further way forward.

Hi Bob, strangely the colonoscopy said negative for hemorrhoids. The last Dre I had was two weeks ago and the doctors agreed that I have piles but only moderate. He prescribed me fybogel and anusol hc which I've had many times before. Is this something you suffer with aswell? Would you say that my symptoms are consistent piles? I'm just fed up with going back to the doctors and feeling brushed off

I have not had any problems for quite a long time, I suffer burning from medications in my gut and that used to cause problems in the bowel. Possibly it may be piles or a Fissure, it is hard to say. I know when I was bad with piles I passed spots of bright red blood on toilet paper. It was very sore and uncomfortable when I was at the toilet. I seem to remember feeling a possible fullness when passing stools, I supposed it was the piles. Have more discussions with your GP.
Good Luck
BOB

Are you saying you have a pain in your rectum? I'm assuming you are in the UK? I'm in the USA and just want to make sure I understand your problem.

Piles can cause a feeling of pressure and can be triggered by straining a lot for a bowel movement.

Hi pippa, no I have no trouble going. Very regular in fact. Sometimes loose sometimes a little constipated. Have also bought up with the doctors that my stools are thin and lack bulk. But they wasn't to bothered as I've had a colonoscopy and just said continue with the fybogel
