Rectal pain, too much to live with

Been dealing with this for years, terrified of doctors in fact a few years ago I broke down and ended up in the ER , that Dr helped more than any of the others , he gave me a nitro compound cream that helped .then I went to see a gastro guy who made me get on my knees after telling him pressure on my knees is painful he basically said it was the only way to examine me. He looked and said I had a small tear , mind you by then I was not having pain. He did nothing because like I said I was not hurting but kept appt . Now a few years later and I am having excruciating pain that has left me in a place that many here have described . I can't live like this anymore. I think I have a prolapse and gemmoroids and fissure. Doing all ho remedys to get through my days without relief. Took a week off work to be even more diligent but I live in terror if I sleep at night if I wake up to live like this another day. Here I sit in my bath tub , after trying to evacuate, which is soft but still the passage is blocked with these aliens coming out of my rectum. I have appt with a.gasstro doc in 3 weeks if I survive and don't drive my car into a telephone pole . When I go to Dr is it standard to have to get on your knees and bend over as the doctor raises your bum in the air? I was hoping I could lay on my side. I just want help but from reading these forums it doesn't look like doctors can do much

I have same problems, try laxido. It really works. I tried everything and am seeing colo rectal surgeon, he prescribed gtn cream and laxido.

Thanks for responding Laura, I'm not suffering totally alone. The fact is I go to the bathroom every morning like clock work , it's always soft but I incorporated more fruits and veg and water because of pain, but I'm either proalsong on top of everything else ore its enteral roofs coming out and blood. It's the constant pain that is slowly putting me over the edge. I can't take more time off work. I feel there is no help!!

i got most of it, yes I could go every day, but it's as though my rectal muscles aren't working, and can't push anything out, no matter how soft. Then when I do go, the burning pain is like passing sandpaper, and stays with me all day.

Laxido is the best thing I've tried, seems to stimulate and you can just go, no diarrhoea, then that's it for the day. Was taking dulcolax liquid, but you are running to the loo all fay, and get more sore.

Also drinking a large glass of fresh orange juice in morning, and take a pro biotic. Don't know if it's a combination of the three.

Still have to have tests as I am severely anaemic, to make sure nothing else is ging on, though over the last year I have bled every time going to the bathroom, I'm hoping that's the cause

For me no matter how it came out I was in brutal pain. You need to get this fixed. I had 1 foot in the emergency room for the second time when I looked up the best colon rectal specialist I could find. He felt so bad for me he operated on me the next day. Im 200 lbs 6 foot tall and was crying like a baby in his office. Thats how brutal the pain was for year and years so I understand your pain too well.

    I was just like you.

You need to go see a colorectal rectal specialist and most likely you will need LIS surgery all doctors appear to be different in how they examine mine laid me on my side but it sounds bad and it's not going to get better by itself.

Your bunghole gets so tight that the blood can't flow to the tear and heal it

I had this surgery almost 8 weeks ago and am completly pain free and cured. I jogged 3 miles today

Hi Anthony, Did you have the horrendous burning pain that lasted for hours? I'm trying to figure out if that is caused by a fissure or nerve damge after prolapse repair a year ago.

It's the intense burning, feel like I've been kicked in the butt by a horse.

The bleedings been less in the last week, but can't sleep for the pain, it's driving me mad, hope the dr can do something, he couldn't see a fissure, but thought it might keep healing and then splitting again. Never had pain like this.

I am sorry that you are going through all of this I too recently had a severe two-week battle with a hemorrhoid and a fissure so painful sat in the tub most of the day went to the doctors and she had me lay on my side and determined it was a hemorrhoid and an anal fissure the last few days it has gone away but I fear it always coming back. Hang in there....it does get better....
