Rectocele

Did anyone have constipation with rectocele. and why does a rectocele cause constipation?

    Constipation us the main symtom.

    Its be ause when the back wall pushes forward it creates a pocket so the evacuation isn't always easy fir it to come out.

    Unfortunately if yiur stools are hard it will make the prolapse worse .

    I take lots of fibre and slippery elm supplement to ease stool pass. Also lots of fluids

    It is the pain medication that causes the constipation. It is the worst part of recovery from my experience but it DOES PASS within a few days. I took Senekot stool softener and another stool softener that I cant recall the name of right now. I also took a spoonful of olive oil each morning for a number of days post surgery, ate a lot of fruit and salad.

      I believe the constipation us the symtom of her rectocele. Dont think she has had surgery yet.
