Rectocele repair

I am one week post repair for rectocele. The repair was much worse than they anticipated and had to repair all the way up to my cervix. The pain immediately after was horrible, but now doing well with no pain.
I am younger. 35 and had 4 kids. I would say that I'm about 85-90% better than I was before the repair. Bowel movements are breeze (sorry lol) compared to before, but still noticing a tiny bit getting stuck. Still nothing like before. I'll take it!!
I am wondering if others, who are a year or do post repair, still noticing a drastic difference. I am optimistic it stays this way. Yes I'm following the rules of my doctor and not lifting, but my doctor said it's really hard to break it.
Also, do you take Colace still? Wasn't sure if that was a forever thing or not.
