Had posterior repair a year ago. I’m still experiencing some

small twitches in the vaginal

Area which is uncomfortable.

Has anyone else experienced

this?

Hi Pat, 18 months ago for me, pain never gone. I though for the first year I was a really slow healer. Have had othe issues this year, and had back problems anyway, so just put up with the burning and tingling pain.

Got referred to a different gynaecologist last week, he said it's a very slow healing process, and my tissues are fragile and tear easily. He referred me to pain clinic for nerve pain, waiting for appointment.

I'm post menopause, don't know about you, but doesn't help.

He told me to use baby products like sudocrem.

The twitches I have are like PGAD. Not nice.

    Hi pat

I had polops removed then a hysterectomy three months after, then six month after April 2016 A&P I total understand what you are saying about burning and twitching I went back and mine is nerve damage all my ops were done vaginaly, I got a cream called estriol 0.01% and it helped to thicken my vag walls but I was also doing too many pelvic floors  and I also carnt carry anything more than a handbag, I was told don’t sit for long periods, sorry for being blunt I hope you are feeling better soon

Gillian how did they determine it was actual nerve damage rather than slow healing? Thanks

Hi love I had an exsaminatiuon and they touched the area with something that resembled a big ear  bud and I nearly jumped through the roof

All my ops have been vaginal and re cuts in the same area

The stinging burning sharp feeling is what I get

I am 15months post tvt and rectocele and stilll have vaginal pain and discomfort which I wonder is prolapse from anterior dropping? Feels like something jagged dropping down, referred back to surgeon but wonder if not enough pelvic floor has let anterior slip. Pain when bending and pain lifting much more than a kettle!
