Rectocele surgery in June, will I be happy with results?

Dear ladies, firstly I want to thank you all for being here, this is a very special place with wonderful and generous women who don't mind to share their private things. Happy to have found it. Specially to Matron, who dedicates a lot of time.
I want to share with you my worry: as I explained in previous posts, I had cystocele and hysterocele op in November (everything fine) and for the last two months I have had issues in the bath, I've been to the colorectal surgeon (everything ok except for a small rectocele), physio (he says I have a very small rectocele and my anus elevator muscle (right part) broken because of my kid delivery).
Finally I went last Friday to the post op check (5 months) and after telling the gyn my troubles with BM and checking my vagina (it's curious that he didn't put the finger inside my rectum), my gyn said that definitely I have a rectocele (I mentioned the tear muscle and said nothing) and he told me that the sooner he fixes it, the better for me. He also saw some stitches inside my vagina and he said that as he has to open the area in the surgery, he will repair the stitches in the same event. He will do the operation through the vagina, cutting the posterior wall, no mesh necessary.
I am VERY WORRIED đ˘ladies specially for the results of the surgery. I am not afraid of the surgery itself, but about if the surgery will solve my problems (feeling of a ball in the rectum, problems to poo, obliged to take stool softener a, feeling that I have something inside after BM and lately pain in the anal area).
The surgery is dated for June. What have been your experience? Does rectocele repair solve problems in the bathroom? What has the experience been with no mesh?
Thanks my dears... as always... for your refreshing comments and advice.

I'm 6 weeks post op from rectocele repair and i am very very happy.
all the problems with b/o are now gone and i'm really surprised about how pain free the whole recovery has been, needed pain killers first couple of days and again at about 2 weeks when stitches were tight. b/o has needed a lot of care to as i suffer with severe constipation but keeping ontop of that and watching what i eat and drinking plenty of water has all helped.Â
6 more weeks off work and plenty more time to heal and I will be very happy lady,
Good luck and hope this helps ease some of your worries.

I am 7/8 weeks post op for anterior and posterior repairs.
Posterior repair is progressing well, was a bit tight and nippy at the start, was given lactulose so I could go to toilet easily.
I very occasionally overdone things resulting in overstretching wound causing a little spot bleeding and being a bit nippy. Would then have to rest up for couple of days. So have to be careful during recovery.
Eat plenty fruit and vegetables and drink plenty water. I am now no longer on lactulose and am going regular once a day to toilet without any problems. So at moment would say has been very successful. Swelling down, but still can be nippy if I overdo it or rub too hard when cleaning area. But no spot bleeding in over 2 weeks.
My prolapse at back was small but was causing real problems on trying to wipe clean; so repair therfore also may have been a small repair.
Hope this helps and good luck with your op!
