Rectum folding over

hi i had hysterectomy just over a year ago was supposed to solve all my problems!

I have had ongoing rectal pain for 3 years since hysterectomy it has gone 100 times worse had to fight for a defecating proctogram finally got results my upper rectum folds over compressing the lower portion nothing works to empty properly no matter what the stool consistency i have terrible leg and lower back pain daily along with the rectal pain . the consultant that found it will only operate with mesh i have refused this.. my original consultant is willing to do a sutured rectopexy... is it normal to have leg pain and digestive problems with bowel problems its driving me crazy i sometimes wish they would just take my colon out any advice please

    hi Karen

ohhhhh I've had hysterectomy last January also but other than a grade 1 rectocele which was there before hys I'm not have any other issues.

if it was me I'd never have mesh inside my pelvic region. my professor Urogynacologist wont use it anyway but if he only would do it with mesh I would unfortunately have to seek another surgeon.

it's too late once it's in as only a handful of surgeonso will remove ut if it starts to erode.lwhy would yiu want that worry after an OP?

sone ladies may disagree which is fine but for me it's a no no.x
