Recurrent Hernia - Please advise

Hello everyone,

I had surgery 3 weeks ago for a left inguinal hernia. It was an open mesh surgery. A week or so after the surgery, I have noticed a bulge developing in the same region as where I had the hernia (looked exactly the same type of bulge). The bulge noticeably got more and more visible and now it looks like I have a recurrent hernia.

I have been researching a lot of about recurrent hernias online and all I have come across is scary stories of where the hernia still kept coming back and further complications etc.

Do we have any success stories of recurrent hernias here ? I don't want to go through this procedure again. I'm only 22 years old, and I'm in decent shape (not over weight and not skinny). This would be my 2nd hernia surgery and I hope this will be my last.
