Recurrent inguinal hernia (3rd time)

I had a RHS IG in early 2017 which was repaired laparoscopically. But right away it was clear it wasn't done correctly and I had a second surgery (open) in late 2017 by a different surgeon.

Six months ago, I noticed that a small recurrence is developing. It's small, and generally painless, except on occasion when I feel soreness in the area (nothing severe). Usually I feel some soreness after jogging...but not always.

I saw my surgeon again, he said he can repair again, but feels like he's trying to talk me out of it saying its not very serious. I'm not looking for validation one way or the other, just trying to understand if its better to do it now or wait, if you assume I WILL need to get it repaired eventually.

The problem is I live in Asia and I think the language difference is making it difficult for me to have a conversation with him about it. I guess my question is is there any advantage to repairing before it gets larger, or will be actually be easier to repair later?

Anyone go through three surgeries before? Thanks.
