Don't give up pressing your Doctors......... There are a few different E Coli bacteria and some are more difficult to eradicate than others..........  I've said it before are the courses of antibiotics given to all and sundry long enough and strong enough to completely eradicate the infection a patient is suffering with?

In a previous post I mentioned that a urologist who was really a kidney stone specialist failed to tell me that an infection can cause stones to form in the urinary tract.  Then when I was cured of the infection I had and that he had nothing whatsoever to do with me getting the necessary antibiotics he had the audacity to

remark that I could not prove I had had an infection....... My reply was well where have all my symptoms gone to after the antibiotics. His excuse was to say well it must have been a coincidence!

He did not know what many of us know......... there is no such thing as a coincidence & the facts of an infection is a scientific one.

Press your doctors if you feel you still have an infection.... do not give up on yourself because you know better than anyone on the planet how you feel.

You are right, yes i still seem to be going a little more often but no pain.  GP told me that after menopause thr skin between our lower parts is much thinner and things feel worse so perhaps a type of esstrogen pessary might help, i am not sure if adding more to the mix here is a good thing. Just dont know if i want to be on antibiotics for six months as she suggested to cure this.
