Recurring cut/fissure at opening of vagina

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have been experiencing a small cut at the opening of my vagina. Sometimes it even comes on without intercourse but it’s very tiny and can go unnoticed. when I have intercourse of course it aggregates that fissure and it becomes more noticeable. It’s still small and not super painful per say but I know it’s there. Anyone have any idea what this could be? I’ve been to so many doctors, gynos & vulvar dermatologists and have gotten it swabbed many times for HSV and it’s always come back negative. All other swabs were normal (yeast bv) all doctors just say "it’s my anatomy and it is what it is…it’s just a sensitive area". Ergh. I know this is not normal — it’s only been happening in the last couple of years prior to that I have not had issues with intercourse and have not had this cut. It’s in the same area right at the opening every time. I feel hopeless. its greatly affected my sex life. Any information or guidance is greatly appreciated!! these photos are after it being aggravated from intercourse. image

Lichen sclerosus can cause the skin to crack and bleed in this way. Make sure to mention that to the doctor next time you go, and if they're not familiar with the condition - make sure to find someone who will be able to recognise it.
