Recurring endometriosis and cysts

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have had 3 laparoscopies in the past 8 months all for endometriosis and cysts. The first 2 surgeries were a waste of time and the third one I had 3 weeks ago found that I also had appendicitis and severe adhesions. It looks like I may need a fourth surgery to see what else is going on. I’m on medications such as targin, lyrica, endep and endone as well as having 2 marinas and on the pill. Does anyone have any suggestions for pain management or if this has happened to anyone how have you coped and how did you work with this? I am due to see a pain management specialist but I can’t get in until 2018.

Thanks

    Hi Emily

You've had a terrible time with both endo and all the surgeries. You are on some heavy duty pain meds and I guess you're in Australia, from the google listing of the med names.

The only thing different that I know of is some abdominal nerve block. It was done to a very young woman here in the States and her mom talked it up a lot in this forum for several months earlier this year, I think somewhere between February and May. If you find it, I would follow the thread or PM the woman to make sure that all is still well with the daughter. If memory serves, the girl's not even out of high school yet. I think it was a pain specialist who did the surgery.

I hope that you get some relief soon.
