Recurring stomach problems, what could it be?

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am 17 years old and I have been suffering from stomach problems since I was younger. I have two different stomach problems. The first problem is persistent burning in my stomach and throat with nausea. I have nausea everyday. I am on Omeprazole, which helps slightly but I am still getting symptoms. I have had an upper Endoscopy which found that I had a lax hiatus. This still doesn't explain why I feel so unwell. I think it's GERD but I avoid triggers such as spicy foods and take acid suppressing tablets. What else can be done to help?

My other stomach problem randomly comes every few months. There is no pattern and there is no triggers. I get a sudden intense pain all over my stomach that feels like deep burning and cramping for at least a day without a break, then eventually it moves into my lower right side where my appendix is. I get this pain randomly and I get bloating, nausea, excessive wind, and occasional bleeding when I go to the toilet. This pain lasts for a minimum of 4days and I feel so exhausted and sick for a couple of weeks after. I feel so unwell all the time what could it be?

These maybe related to IBS or some other symptoms of gallbladder, or can be associated with omeprazole that may not be helping. Try stopping it, and use probiotice drinks.

If still having problems, then check with a GI specialist.

Thanks for the reply I have thought it could be the Omeprazole making my symptoms worse but I don't think there is many other tablets they can give as I have tried a few that haven't worked.

Might be IBS.  Do you get change of bowel habit? See the doctor about the bleeding.

Hi, I have had stomach problems on and off for a few years, IBS or indigestion can cause pain in the throat when the acid rises, i take Omeprazole and it stops the acid burn, if thats not working tell your doctor so they can investigate.
