Red bumps on my face

Hi everyone!

I have had PMR fo 7 months. Started on 60mg of prednisone now down to 10. Still have arm pain but I'm feeling much better. My problem is that I am getting almost hive like bumps on my face and I don't know what's causing them. Has anyone else experienced this and know how to treat it? Thanks for your help!

Hi Patti I also have a red blotch on each side of my face but didn't put it down to anything out of the norm. Thanks for bringing this up as reading other replys it may be because of the pred.  The blotches are not raised or don't feel any different from the rest of my face

As I have crosses for many years now with the steroid I must be more careful .

Spicy food and chocolate are a disaster for me!

I must go very slowly on them if sometimes I want to rest of my quite stric / boring diet ...

Possibly the pred - it can lead to rosacea type redness and also hives.

Many people need to use a high factor suncream when on pred - it can make the redness worse.
