Red dots on penis tip and white dots all over foreskin

Posted , 3 users are following.

Had unprotected sex with a girl (claims to be clean) and red dots appeared on the tip the next day. Over the next few days, white spots appeared underneath the foreskin and slowly spread to all over the foreskin.

Does not hurt or itch (maybe a bit once in awhile), does not hurt when urinating and no pus is discharge.

What can it possibly be? Likely to be a fungal or bacteria infection? GP prescribed some anitfungal cream and was told to go back if it does not disappear.

Are those white spots on foreskin under skin? They look very much like fordyce spots which is completely normal and harmless, although it is weird that they appeared in such quantity just in few days.

As for glans it might be fungal, bacterial or even due to friction and irritation. Are you sure both spots mainly those on foreskin were not there before?

You should visit dermatologist as GP is not one that can give you proper answer and treatment regardless of what you are dealing with.

Those spots are under the foreskin. Pretty sure they were not there before the incident. Trying hard to convince myself those are not warts or herpes as they do not look like blisters to me. They indeed multiplied over the past few days.

Hopefully it is just a fungal infection. Will try out the cream and see how it goes.

Warts and herpes do not appear under skin, they appear on skin. Those white/yellow spots really look like fordyce spots to me as I have them too just not in such quantity and it was confirmed what they are. However it is unusual that they appear in such quantity over a couple of days. They usually start showing up after puberty and for the rest of your life you can get a few every now and then. Some people get loads of them, others have just a few or none.

Also to rule out warts, it takes anywhere from few weeks to few months for first warts to start appearing due to virus incubation process. If this all happened just in few days, you can rule HPV for sure.

Thanks! Feeling so much more comforting after hearing what you said. Hopefully they are just fordyce spots. But no idea why they multiplied so quickly over just a few days. Pretty sure i didnt have them in the past.

As for warts and herpes, they won't usually spread and multiply so much do they?

You usually dont notice fordyce spots until you freak out because of something and then they scare you even more. If they really appeared just over a couple of days, it is probably impossible to answer that even for an expert.

As for warts and herpes, they appear on the skin not under skin. For spreading part no idea about herpes but warts can multiply very fast and spread over genital area if they are injured however you would probably notice that as wart injury is usually followed with burning or itching.

Once again bumps on foreskin look harmless and exactly like fordyce spots, but visit dermatologist to ease your mind if you want.

Been to a few doctors and all claimed the white spots are fordyce spots.

However, the red dots on the glans are still there (no itching or pain since day 1) after more than 3 weeks. Have used antifungal cream but to no avail. What else could it be? Could it be permanent?

First stop using that antifungal cream.Have your doctors seen those red dots on glans? What did they say?

Yes it could be permanent... It is normal for penis to be a bit bumpy. Also those spots on glans could also be fordyce spots, yes you can get them on glans and most people do have them, just they arent so prominent.

I really have no idea what might be going on, so best is to work with your doctors on possible cause. What I can tell you is that it is not any STD causing this, and there is a slight chance it might be even normal.
