Coming off them slowly is better than quickly, so don't worry if they seem to be tapering you slowly.

    Good luck Finley!

Been on the a the steroid eyes drops for two months and was told to wean them off soon, but have noticed this week that my eyes have started to fill up with water and seemed the symptoms are coming back, even though I have not started to wean from the steriods !!!!! Wonder why 😣

Hi Finley, there are so many things that can cause this.  It could be that you are sensitive to the preservative in one of the drops, or you could have something like blepharitis too.  You need to discuss it with your doctor.  Good luck.

Hi Finley, just wondering how your eyes are now?, i have had red sore eyes since last April, first the doctor said my tear ducts are blocked so i had both eyes operated on,and was put on steriods, when i came off steriods it all come back, i have been on steriods on/off since then, last week the doctor said i must come off steriods, now my eyes are back to red, sore and watery, he is now transferred me to moorfields hospital, now they are really bad the skin around my eyes are red and sore, just waiting for the appointment, so upsetting!!

Hi I like you have been on steriod drops since April and have been told I will be on them long term, once I wean them off they come back so have to go back to get more and I am still waiting for an allergy test. My skin around the eyes also get red and sore so I put vasaline around them which does help and takes the dryness underneath away. At the moment I out two steriod drops in a day plus allergy drops and mositure drops in. Dreading when I wean them off to once a day as I can feel it coming back after about a week. They tell me it's long term conjunctivisi in other words they don't know, is my opinion. Hope you find a solution soon and please let me know if you do. As you say it is very depressing and my eyes don't look the same any more. regards Bev😜

Hi Lorraine I too like you was weaned off the steriods but went back to the hosptial and was put on them per mantle at the moment. They say it's a long term condition so putting two drops in a day and they are ok at the moment. Could you stay on your drops until you see the specialist in May. It is very depressing I know all the best Bev

Hi everyone did anyone find a cure for this, I have had this for over a month, been to chemist, specsavers said it might be dry eye. i bought brolene used for a week and made no diff, then tried gel tears made no diff.. then it started in the other eye from the nose inwards....then at work i had accident and scratched badly my other eye and had to be put on antibiotic cream.. so i used it in the red eye and seemed to take it down but soon as i stopped the antibiotics it starts to flare up again....The thing is i have a perfect red/white split where my eye lid opens to. any ideas..i know this is an old post

Had similar problems over 2 years ago.  Still on steroid drops, low dose, but also anti viral tablets long term.  Redness has gone as has watery eyes but beware of damage to the cornea.

Oxyal is very good for lubricating the eyes as any eye drop is likely to make the eyes dry;  they don't always tell you this bit.

I have read through this forum as I am having similar, problems with my eyes. Always have had allergy eyes but for the past month they have been horrible. I have been to several doctors and an allergist but nothing so far. I am so miserable. Has anyone found any solutions?

I was told to stay on 4 drops of steriods a day (drops) for 30 days but pharmacist said he wouldn't...ten days max is what doctors always do.  I'm worried. No mention of titrating down slowly either.  I had cataract surgery about a year ago. Am SUSPECT glocoma (don't have it but suspect whatever that means).  Are other docs asking you to use 4 drops a day for 30 days?

Hi guys i knew this was an old post but im having the same problem with you for the past 9 months now.

Ive tried many medications and still the red eye or pink eye idk what is it called exactly doesnt want to go away.

Im really really desperated because of this eye. Mine happens to the right eye. 7 times to doctor and all of them told me the same way, nothing happens to my eyes and they were okay. No problems with my eyes and they didnt even know what caused the pink eye.

They suspect that it was caused by allergic reaction. But ive tried many allergic medications also and it made no diff.

    Help me
