hello! I have noticed a reddish foreskin after I had unprotected sex with a different partner. I have done STI tests, all negative. I have tried creams for yeast infection, it didn't work. I have no pain, no itching, It is just slightly warmer than usual after sex or masturbation. could someone advise? thank you !

I am not a medical professional. It really does look like a yeast/fungal infection, which can take a good bit of time to clear up. How long did you use the cream?

I have taken fluconazole once only, tried to use creams for couple of days. At the moment I am just using E45 shower cream to clean it. I've been seen by a nurse practitioner which said I am fine. However, the reddish foreskin wont go away, I don't have any other symptoms apart from that, just feel the skin a bit more sensitive.

Make sure you are using the creams as detailed in the pack - usually if you are using it correctly it should clear within 2 weeks

However, it is possible the sex was coincidence and you had something else developing, or their was an issue with the skin and what your penis was in contact with during the sex has created what was before into a skin issue

Are you using a lube, applying anything at all to your penis before, during or after sex or masturbation ..... ?

I have tried to use creams for few days only, it got worse, then tried fluconazole once. I have noticed a red circle on my penis in the day after i had unprotected sex and its being like that for few weeks. I am not using any lub now.

When using creams for sexual related issues the minimum recommended usage is around 14 days, unless you get an adverse reaction to an individual cream.

Simply limit what you apply to your penis to water only for cleaning, this should slowly fade within 5 to 8 weeks.

It would be best if you abstain from masturbation or sex as this will only further irritate the distressed skin.

As I say, it cannot be ruled out that the sex was a coincidence and you have something else going on - if symptoms persist for longer than 3 months since they first appeared you are best to see a dermatologist.
