Red hot Knees for 1 year + 21 year old male

So basically for about the last year I've had this problem I've been worried about with my knees when I'm out in the sun, exercising or just hanging round the house sometime my knees get really hot and red particularly my right one but at time it has been both. It sort of went away or I noticed it less but now I'm going to the gym regularly and I'm noticing it again and it's scaring me I've been to the doctors several times in which he's said if there no swelling or pain with it it's nothing to worry about, now I'm starting to worry about it again due to the fact that I've started noticing it in my right knuckles at times and also recently my elbow which is again scaring me still no pain or swelling just heat, I'm not sure what to do I'm scared obviously this is arthritis or something I know the statistics are in my favour I've done my research but it still scares me has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm still so worried about it no one in my family has arthritis when I asked my doctor about it he said he does not think it is that he was thinking more burstitis or water on the knee.
Sorry I forgot to add my doctor said he thinks it just that my body is sensitive to heat and he has had patient with similar things in other areas of the body he said it's sort of like a blushing I showed him pictures of it thanks anyways

Hi John. Making a very long story short, I had overactive thyroid some years ago & it took almost a year for all to agree this was my problem. I ended up with anxiety & all that goes with that. During this time both my knees were burning and red, this was written off by my GP as part of anxiety! Then a consultant for thyroid sent me to see a specialist for arthritis - he confirmed that I had/have osteoarthritis in both my knees, but having said this, when I bend my knees they click and grind, which doesn't seem to happen with you, but it started off as burning sensation. BUT if your GP says it's not arthritis, well he's a GP I'm not 😂 Hope you get sorted soon as if nothing else it's annoying. Not to make light of your issue, but, I have read and seen lots of issues on here etc., but I've never heard of "blushing knees" as I'm typing here both my knees are burning away and I have to say I had a giggle (not at your expense, I promise) thinking, ah it's only my knees blushing!! - Feel better soon & as I've learned there are a lot of good people on here who help, hopefully one of them can point you in the right direction. Take care.

OK, as I said I'm not a GP, so wait and see how your tests go for thyroid, I know with me overactive thyroid gave me all sorts of symptoms which I won't go into now as I just might put another thought in your head. Because, that's exactly what I did, everyone has an opinion, mostly those who are not qualified and we are all different. So, you have had this for a while and you are still here, so try and do or think of something else and see how your thyroid visit goes. Easier said than done, but all you are doing is wrecking your head with what if, rather than what is. Let me know how the tests go & hopefully you get some answers. Take care

hey Jean i feel terrible for not replying to this day i still have the thing with my knee and it causes me no problem so i guess it is all just normal and my thyroid levels are completly normal now. The only thing that still plagues me to this day is my health anixety of course... It comes and goes but i having a pretty bad time with it at the moment worrying about all sorts of cancers fortunatly in the last 4 years ive had no more worries about my knees though.
