red inflammation on glans

Posted , 3 users are following.

Ive had this for about 2 months.

Its been alot worse but it appears to be slightly going away but im putting on aquafor. Ive tried the zoles creams and a steroid cream that just made it worse.

I did wash it really good with different soap around the same time it started after getting oral from a friend. I was tested for stds and all came back negative. My primary care doctor said nothing to worry about and the derm was contacted and sent pics and they said possible lichen nittidus?

Do i need to see the urologyst?

In terms of the best Specialist to see this would be a Dermatologist who specialises in Genital Skin Disorders. You could do an internet search to find one in your area if your doctor cannot refer you to one.

Soap should never be used on the head or foreskin of the penis - simply use water only and rub the area with the inside of the hand. My guess is that the inflamed skin just cannot deal with the onslaught of what it is that is severely irritating it - what would help is if you try to return it to the natural state, where you quite literally apply nothing to it at all for as many months as possible. So as well as the soap keep shower gel, body wash and suchlike away from the glans of your penis.

If you are trying to upload pics from a mobile, smartphone or tablet you may need to put them on a Laptop or PC - make the image size physically smaller, then save it as a small jpeg ........

Yeah im trying to upload using a phone.

I my derm said to consult the urologyst cause they didnt see anything other than a possible lichen nitidis?

Ive put all kinds of stuff on it. Seems to be getting better with aquafor but i ceased last night and today its less red but looks cracked and slightly irritated. Can it really take that long to recover? Holy crap.

Ill keep trying with the pics
