Red meatus

Has anyone ever dealt with this or does this look normal? it appears My Meatus/Urethra area is really red and enlarged. I have no pain, no burning, no itching, no irritation or frequent urination or discharge. I've only had two unprotected partners but however was recently diagnosed with a yeast infection (balantis) after unprotected sex. This occurred about 6 weeks ago and completely appeared healed after 4-5 days of applying a fungal cream. I was thinking maybe a course of antibiotics might help or is this just normal? I have however, been frequently masturbating and it always gets worse afterwards. I'm also going to stop masturbating for a few weeks and see if it improves. imageimage

I've got that same curse after a condom break from one damn second.

my doc gave the diagnosis as fordyce spots. which is harmless.

another doc gave me anti fungal cream. it helps to keep it down.

there's a anti fungal cream called HYDROZOL that doesn't need prescription. go for it.

Crushed garlic or garlic paste is also an option. Make sure it isn't expired.

both these methods only keep the substance on the penis for less than 5 mins. And only do one remedy at a time. Either hydrozole or garlic for one month kinda. But I reckon garlic is too raw and powerful so just go with the cream.

And honestly mate yours is so slim it's hardly noticeable. So no remedy at all is also fine.

Appreciate that comment man... I ended up seeing a Doctor the other day and she diagnosed this as Balanitis which seems to be one of the most popular outcomes i have seen on this discussion thread. Just to be extra safe I went and did a full STD screening on top of that so now i'm just waiting results on that.

Just an update on this post: Since the original post 2 weeks ago ive since been to a Clinic and tested for any STD's/STI's. Everything is coming back negative and the doctor just diagnosed me with Balanitis and prescribed me a cream and a single dose antibiotic for candida. So far its not really helping, and the head of my penis is still red by the meatus and spotty around the head. Out of curiosity i tried masturbating today and literally after 15-20 seconds the entire head of my penis became red and inflamed and irritated. I stopped and within a few minutes it seemed to go back to the way it was in the picture (still red at the tip). At this point i dont even know what to do or try anymore as this has been going on for months

Dealing with same situation for 2 years and have given up on finding any solution for now. Daily hygiene works for me of course, Do a gentle wash and get dried up after intercourse or masturbation. Keep updating this thread if anything works for you?

      How old are you mate?

Assuming you've had tests done on this, any particular reason, struggling to conceive 6 years ago and still or?

My partner and I are thinking of trying next year, so hoping I'm alright...

I've had this issue for the last three weeks. Tested neg for UTI and STD's and mine just started with a burning when it rides on my underwear.Feels exactly like a friction burn. Got worse, likely from working out since I noticed the tip of my penis is always facing forward in my underwear. Almost the exact same as yours. Finally doc gave me Ketoconazole antifungal cream but only on day two so not much of a difference. I suspect it's more of a friction issue in my underwear, complicated by a fungus. Even a couple of drops of urine in you underwear could create the perfect breeding ground for fungus. But I never had it swabbed which means if it were bacterial I'm on the right course. However I think a bacteria would go nuclear after three weeks of no antibiotic cream of sorts.

Frustrating. My plan is to try and cover it a little and protect it from friction. Maybe try desitin on the affected area.

You know now that you mention that i'm starting to wonder if it also has to do with friction/rubbing. Especially during summer (current season). The tip area is the only part facing my boxers and appears to be the only red area so it would make sense with it being a combination of rubbing in addition to fungus... I'm a week into a antifungal cream and its kind of been helping but honestly not really... part of me also wonders if ive always had this issue my entire life but now im suddenly obsessing over it because of the whole std/sti "scare".
