Red painless bumps on salivary gland.

I've been having some pain/discomfort in my neck/throat and ears for what seems to have been nearly 2 months now. It has been particularly tender under my jaw. I went to an ENT a week and a half ago and was told nothing was wrong other than a lot of mucus for which i was prescribed mucinex. The ENT however did not check under my tongue and today I noticed I had some red bumps on my salivary gland. Does anybody know what this could be before I spend more money visiting another doctor?
