Red painless patches and cracked skin on penis

Posted , 4 users are following.

I made a post about this issue a few months ago on here and I still haven't found a solution. I've had these painless, red patches on the head of my penis for almost a year now. They don't hurt or itch at all, they are just unpleasant to look at. The skin is also very cracked and dry looking. I went a while without masturbating at all and it didn't seem to help much. It doesn't look that bad when I'm flaccid but when I'm erect, it's a lot more noticeable. I've researched psoriasis and a bunch of other stuff and there always seems to be pain/itching involved but that's not my case. I'll use the same picture I used a few months ago since my penis looks exactly the same.

I haven't applied any medication or anything in about 5 months and have only been washing it with water. Does anyone know what could be causing this and what I could do to get rid of it?

You need a Dermatologist to help you with this, if you can find one that specialises in Genital Skin Disorders that would be the best option.

You must exclude soap, shower gel and any other form of body wash from contacting your penile skin - wash carefully with water only rubbing with the inside of your hand and fingertips when cleaning.

NEVER put anything like skin cream, lotion or baby oil on your penile skin ......

Hey thanks for the reply! I'm unable to see one right now. I could have seen one when this first happened but brushed it off which I deeply regret now. I try not to let any soap or shampoo or anything else I use touch my penile skin. I'll be sure to avoid everything you listed as well. Would you recommend I use any medication or something for this? If not I'll just stick to water only

The safest approach is for nothing at all, other than water to contact the damaged penile skin. The Dermatologist can guide you further on the likely things that have caused this - and prescribe the correct strength of, what will most likely be a Steroid Ointment to treat the damaged skin ...
