Red Rash on Thigh With Pus Bumps

Hi, I have a red/pink rash on my inner thigh for the last 3 days. The follicles appear to be turning into zits with pus in them. its only on my right inner thigh. Any thoughts what this could be?

I think folliculitis or a staph infection maybe? I am hoping its not an STD. I havent noticed anything on my genitals, so thats a good sign.

I did visit a massage therapist twice in a row this week, so could be due to the oil they used, but funny it is only affecting the one thigh and no where else on my body...

I think youve already found the answer. Localised staph infection possibly caused by oil or the massage therapist. Possible contamination of oil or maybe cleanliness of therapists hands?. Does he/she clean the hands thoroughly between clients?

Just keep the area clean with ordinary body wash or soap, rinse and dry well every day. it should clear up but if it spreads you may need a doctor to help.

    Not an STD I'm sure.

nice! kind of gross to think about and never had anything like this but glad its not an STD.

Any idea how long you think itll take to clear up? I googled it and looks like its contagious so should probably abstain from sexual activity till it clears up.

May take a week or two until its totally clear but whatever you do, dont squeeze, touch or pick at those pustules. Just keep it clean. Try to wear clean trousers as well.
