red spot on my tongue

Good morning every one

Before ago i went to the dermatologist because i had fungus on my foots and on my arms and my tongue the doctor gived me medication against this thruch but one week ago it appears red spots on my tongue it burn a little bit but not too much in front of my tongue .

I dont know what is this is it tongue irritation after taking antibiotics for two month or what exactly ?does anyone have the same symptoms like me ? I dont know what to do ? Do i have to return to dermatologist or going to an ENT (ears nose throut) ?

    Hi Seth I think you should seek your GPs advice. If you have been on antibiotics in my experience they knock out bacteria, but not thrush as its a yeast. I found I had more problems with thrush while taking or just after antibiotic treatment. There is an oral thrush medication available but I do think you need to see your GP

      Thank you pam for your replay i'am going to take an appointment with my GP for that . I was traumatised by seeing the red spot on my tongue.

      Well it is always best to check things out with your GP. At least then even if it is nothing to worry about your mind will be at ease. Worry can actually cause stress and that can make you worse or even cause some problems.

      Your welcome! I've been there myself, I think even doctors do, they make dreadful patients! My son is a consultant and when he had a minor op he was terrified!
