Red spots (marks on my body) what can it be?

i just noticed red marks on my thighs. what can it be? and it is itching

can it be an allergy, virus, std, bacteria?

    Looks like petechiae - little blood vessels under the skin have burst (possibly due to itching the area). I would expect them to be reabsorbed over the next week or two. Let us know how it progresses and avoid itching the area.
